For as fun as the game is I think it’s really missing a lot without one.Ī copy of this game was purchased for review purposes. That said it’s really disappointing that the game does not feature online leaderboards of any kind. Strategizing about which enemies would be best to take out first provides a surprising amount of depth. I haven’t quite hit the top of the built-in leaderboards, but there’s always room for improvement.
Kung Fury is a lot of fun and it’s been a game that I’ve been excited to play during any downtime over the past couple days.

I do wish the game had more background areas to fight in though. celebrate the kung fury 5-year anniversary with kung fury: street rage a day at the beach hasselhoff joins the fight as a new playable hero play to explore his: daring moves mesmerizing ultimate impressive chest hair team up in the brand new multiplayer game mode: 2-player coop free movement side-scrolling beat. The game features nice pixel-art with some filters to simulate the screen of an arcade cabinet, the pause menu is a BSOD, and the attack animations are appropriately over-the-top. Much like the movie Kung Fury: Street Rage has a lot of style going for it. It’s easy to just get into a groove while you’re building a combo and watching Kung Fury pull off flashy counterattacks. Part of that’s also because it feels like a rhythm game. It’s very easy to fall into that “one more run” mentality. With each run lasting just a couple minutes the game can be pretty hard to put down.
Taking a hit drops the combo significantly and three hits ends the run. If you love classics like Streets of Rage or Double Dragon and long for the arcade cabinet experience of the past, Kung Fury could be what you’re looking for, but its short length, frustrating mechanics and lack of variety really hold it back. Kung Fury: Street Rage takes some characters from the movie and puts them in a very simple tie-in game that’s surprisingly fun.

Sony may choose to revive it with more promising announcements at the upcoming E3 2017 event and if they do so, it will be an amazing revival for the handheld so as to compete with Switch and also show gamers that they are still in the market. If you haven’t, this should easily be the best time to get a PS Vita because the processing capacity of the console is on par with the newly launched Nintendo Switch except for the lack of newer titles. But, it is best played on the handheld if you own it already. Some of these titles may be available on the Playstation 4 platform as well because they are part of the cross buy scheme and is programmed to run on both consoles at once. The PS Vita games which are heading to the platform next week are Kung Fury Street Rage, Plantera, Spellspire and Ultaware Mask of Deception. The PS Vita console is still kicking with its own set of titles that are made for a specific group of audience and it makes sense to play it on the go than rather having to play it glued to the large HD television.
